Legs curled beneath him, his head on Erik's lap, Charles watches the flames dance in the fireplace and sighs happily. Since Hank's new drug, he's not had a single seizure, his legs have regained their old strength, and his mobility has been returned to him. He jogs with Erik in the morning, teaches and leads the school during the day with a renewed vigour, and by night... physically, his love-making with Erik has never been so good. He misses his mutant abilities, of course, but he still sees it as a small price to pay for everything that he has regained.
"Are you reading?" he grins, aware of Erik's eyes on him, and also aware that he hasn't heard a turn of the page for at least five minutes. "Or are you staring at me?"
